What would you do with more ranks, that you can't do with the ranks available now? I'm not paying money for someone to order me around... No reason to have anything more than what they have now... Officers broaden your recruitment base from the leader, so that you can continue to recruit when the leader is offline, and that's all that is needed.

well it would be better if there was more ranks cos this then gives you a good stage for improvments to guilds meaning more stuff which i am looking forward to as there not been many updates including extra things for guilds and who said anything about paying lol

I'm not sure what you said there, due in part to the lack of punctuation.

But I paid money for this game... I am not planning on joining the military any time soon, and I don't see the need for ranks in this game other than the rank you get for fame points, or however the PvP ranking system works.

Good stage for improvements? What sort of improvements?

As it stands right now, I feel 3 ranks just isnt enough. With myself at the top, trustworthy people as officers, it leaves everyone else at the bottom, that person who's been with the guild for a few weeks/months (but I don't want to allow them to have the option to change the guild cape) is on the same level as any other person who was just recruited. I wouldn't mind seeing 5 ranks instead of 3.

Top would be the leader (of course), same abilities as leaders get currently.

Next would be like co-leader, can do (almost) everything the leader can, can promote anyone up to the officer rank, but can't replace the leader or make new co-leaders.

Middle would be officers, who would be able to recruit and start guild battles, but not change the cape (It's your guild's symbol, and as such should only be changed by those who represent the guild, namely the leaders)

Fourth would be something of regular or distinguished members. This would be for people you can trust in your guild, but don't want to give them officer rank. They're basically the bulk of your guild.

The fifth and last rank would be reserved for people who are new to the guild (and you don't know if they are going to be good or not), or anyone else who has broken your trust in some way and needs to be demoted out of harms way, but not with your "good" guild members.

So, leaders can do everything. Co leaders can do all the leader can, but can only promote up to the officer rank. Officers could start guild battles, and recruit people, no promotions, that's up for the leaders to decide if they're guild material or not. Regular members and the new members (or bottom rank) wouldn't be able to do anything, they'd be the bulk of your guild.

So basically, in a 50 person guild (for example), you would have one leader, maybe 3 co-leaders who you can really trust to take your position while you're offline, 8-10 officers you can trust to be role models / examples to everyone else, and be competent enough to start to lead strategic guild battles or some such, 20-25 or so regular members, who have proven their allegiance to your guild (and might be promoted to officer if they can really prove they're a benifit to the guild), and 10 or so new people who you've recruited (or had your officers recruit) and still need to prove that they deserve / can be trusted enough to allow into your guild, or maybe you found one of your officers recruiting horrible people, but don't want to kick them out. They could try to work their way back up (or atleast into a regular position), or just leave at that point.

Anyway, that's just my thoughts on the topic.
